I’m Patryk Sliwinski, a photographer currently studying at Portsmouth University, UK, with a passion for both artistic and commercial photography. My work is driven by a desire to explore identity, memory, and human experience through the lens, often blending personal narratives with broader social and historical themes.

My personal projects focus heavily on my hometown and country, Poland, using photography to explore the passage of time, historical tensions, and generational memory. Projects like “Unresolved Relations” investigate Poland-Ukraine relations through a mix of archival research, portraiture, and documentary photography, drawing on my grandfather’s experiences in Przemyśl to uncover personal and collective histories. Similarly, “Whispers of Stone and River” looks at urban decay and historical neglect, questioning how spaces are preserved or abandoned over time. These projects are deeply personal, often weaving together photography with research, interviews, and archival imagery to create layered narratives.

Beyond my personal work, I also have a strong passion for fashion photography, where I explore style, identity, and visual storytelling through carefully crafted editorial and studio shoots. I have experience working on fashion studio shoots, portraits, and landscapes, using both digital and film photography. My staged photography aims to reveal hidden aspects of my subjects, capturing their personality and presence in ways that extend beyond traditional portraiture.

I’m also developing my skills in commercial photography, with an interest in event photography and product placement. Currently, I’m refining my ability to capture dynamic moments at events and learning how to create visually compelling imagery for brands and products. Whether it’s fashion, lifestyle, or documentary work, I approach every project with a balance of creativity and technical skill.

Right now, I’m based in Portsmouth, developing both my personal projects and commercial portfolio, always looking for new opportunities to collaborate and tell meaningful visual stories. Whether you’re interested in working together on editorial projects, commercial shoots, or documentary photography, feel free to get in touch.
